Stitch Fix

It’s been over a year since my last ‘Fix’ and I decided to give it another try.  Ever since JP was born I haven’t really bought many clothes for myself.  Some of my old clothes still fit and some don’t but a big problem is that I have completely different needs.  Now that I am an at home mommy all of my cute business casual outfits don’t get much use (at all!!) and it turns out I didn’t have much for everyday casual.

I really don’t enjoy shopping.  I think it is partially because I have a hard time finding things that will fit right, I am not a large person but on the taller side and typically smaller sizes just aren’t long enough.  I’ll take 10 things into a fitting room and maybe 1 will fit right.  It’s frustrating.

I really love shopping online because it give me time to do things I want to do instead of need to do.  I’ve eluded in previous posts about the products we use in our home and I get them from an online wellness .com store so again…more things delivered to my door, I love it (and it saves money!).

On to my fix.  Allison was my stylist and for the most part this Fix was great.  I requested color and everyday casual things that still made me look ‘put together’.  I also mentioned my issue with finding tops long enough in the arms and torso and the things she sent had a longer style.

Beau Fringe Infinity Scarf

I don’t have a scarf this color or texture so it’s a keeper.

Aleah V-Neck Heathered Dolman Sleeve Shirt

In a previous Fix I got a black shirt just like this and I love it.  It has a different label but feels and looks the same.  It’s long enough that I can wear it with leggings and have my back side covered.  Leggings are not pants!!  It’s also easy to accessorize with jewelry or a scarf.  Another keeper!

Braddon Airy Knit V-Neck Sweater

If I were at a store I probably wouldn’t have tried this on.  That’s one of the things I like about Stitch Fix is it helps you expand your style.  I like it but the fit just wasn’t right.  It was a little baggy and the sleeves were an odd length.  They were too short but not short enough to look like 3/4 sleeves.  It’s a no for me.

Lizzy Colorblock Striped Sweater

This is another keeper.  This is my style, easy and casual but still cute (at least I think so!).  The fit is also good and long enough.  The only thing I’m not crazy about is the price.  It’s a little expensive but I am still going to keep it.  Finding things that fit well isn’t easy so when I find it sometimes I just have to roll with it.

Natoma Ikat Embroidery Crossbody Bag

This bag is just not my style.  I’m not trying to offend anyone because there are probably plenty of people who don’t like the things I did above but this bag is a big NO for me.
If you didn’t already know there is a Facebook group called Stitch Fix B/S/T and Discussion.  People post themselves in their new items and if there is something you got that you didn’t like there are lots of people that will likely buy it that way you can keep everything and get your discount.  I’ve heard that even if you rate the items when you checkout with your honest opinion it still can be misleading for future picks because you kept the item.

If you are new to Stitch Fix and want to give it a try they have a great referral program.  Here is my referral link if you decide to give it a try!
