Valentine’s Day Mantel

It’s that time of year where I change the mantel again. I actually did this after taking down the Christmas mantel but sometimes it just takes a while to get the pictures off of the camera and then blog about it!

The new addition this year is the I heart you frame. The frame is an old frame that I think my mom pulled out of her stash when I was in college. I had my fraternity composite picture in it and I don’t think that’s been put out since I left my college apartment. Some things are good to keep around!! I won’t say how long ago that was…it makes me feel old. I know, I’m not really old, it just seems like a long time ago 🙂 Anyway, I spray painted it white, cut the words out with my Sizzix Eclips and found a cute festive fabric. Easy and cheap!

For anyone that read the old blog and the saga about the fish, you’ll notice that the fish is no longer hanging above the mantel 🙂

New Blog

I’ve created a new blog in the hopes of getting a small business running. Many people have encouraged me, especially after my mom’s Beatles party, to utilize my ‘talent’ so here goes nothing!!

My first little adventure is going to be a greeting card of the month club. How many times do you have to stop at the store on your way to an event to pick up a card? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a hand crafted greeting card come in the mail each month for you to have on hand?

I’ll also be doing any custom greeting card you would like along with creative gifts, invitations, party supplies and ideas and fun food items.

Guest Book

Happy New Year everyone! You won’t beleive what I am going to post…you guessed it, another project with a picture by Kosi Designs!! For this project I again used the Storybook software by Creative Memories. You can create a custom 12×12 coveret and here is mine! This will be our guest book. I am going to put all of our engagement pictures in it and have guests sign the pages of the album.
